Apple is reportedly delaying the launch of a crypto wallet application by Uniswap Labs, the company behind the top decentralized exchange on the Ethereum Network. Despite having responded to Apple’s concerns and claiming compliance with their specifications, Uniswap Labs has yet to receive an explanation for the lack of approval.

According to a Uniswap Labs spokesperson, Apple remains a hardline gatekeeper in regulating the crypto world’s access to iOS.

“We’ve responded to their concerns, answered every question, and reiterated that we are 100% compliant with their specifications,” they said in a publication.

With regularity concerns across the digital asset sector and Apple’s strict standards for approved exchanges, it’s unlikely that a DEX platform could receive the green light to launch a mobile application.

The planned self-custodial crypto wallet app would allow users full ownership and the ability to trade tokens with Uniswap. However, Uniswap Labs Design Lead Callil Capuozzo expressed frustration with Apple’s opaque rulebook, making the approval process increasingly difficult.
