The tenth edition of crypto rankings by China’s Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) was released on Feb. 26, and EOS (EOS) maintains its top spot, this month as well. Whereas, Bitcoin (BTC) is placed at the 13th place
The latest crypto rankings report, CCID has a new entrant to the list, as instead of 34 cryptos that were accessed in the January’s report, the state-backed tech workgroup has analyzed 35 digital coins. Even being a new entrant, TRON (TRX) has managed to beat Ethereum and placed itself as second.
The Ranking
The CCID is backed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The first monthly crypto rating report was launched in May 2018 and that time Ethereum (ETH) was awarded the top-rated crypto position out of the original 28 coins.
However, in June 2018, ETH was dethroned by EOS as the top cryptocurrency in terms of three aspects: basic technology, application, and innovation. As per market cap at press time, EOS is the fourth top cryptocurrency with $3.2 billion of the total market of around $130 billion, as per the data from CoinMarketCap.
This time around, ETH slid another point down as TRON, a new entrant earned the second position. While, Bitcoin, the biggest cryptocurrency, jumped off its previous 15th rank to the 13th in the CCID’s rankings. The lowest position at number 35, was granted to NEM (XEM), having lost its previous position to major altcoin Litecoin (LTC).
