Yuvraj Singh (ex-cricketer) launched his non-fungible token collection (NFT), on December 25. It has received strong support from buyers.

Yuvraj Singh’s first century cricket was launched on NFT marketplace Colexion. The final bid for the bat was $78,000.

Digital collectibles included trump cards with photos and models in both 3D and 2D formats by Yuvraj Singh. The platform stated that 5,000 trump cards combo packs were available for $30 each and that most of them are now sold out.

Additional 2,500 digital assets were also made available under a category called warrior NFTs, which are $40 each. This digital collection has been sold 70% of the time on the platform.

The Yuvraj Singh NFTs have so far earned about $292,000, or Rs 2.17 Crore.

This is a sign of the increasing popularity of NFTs in India. The NFT collection of Bollywood actor Amitabh Chauhan was sold for more than Rs 7 crore in 2021.

NFTs in India are still in their infancy, but Abhay Aggarwal, Colexion CEO, expects them to grow into a $1 billion market.

According to Ramkumar Subramaniam (co-founder and CEO of Guardianlink.io), the current NFT market is valued at $100-200 million in India. According to him, the NFT market could reach $500 million-$1billion by 2022. He stated that the NFT market had reached $10 billion around the world.

Platforms are betting big on NFTs in India and more celebrities, especially from the entertainment and sports fields.

Yuvraj Singh and Amitabh Bachchan are joined by film and sports celebrities like Sunny Leone and Kamal Haasan and Sunil Gavaskar who announced the launch of digital collectibles.

Colexion launched NFTs for up to 30 celebrities in the fields of music, sports, and film in December.
