Education Ecosystem has experienced a significant increase in the number of users since the coronavirus pandemic took its toll on the global village. The startup, which focuses on project-based learning projects in the areas of artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, data analytics, game development, and programming; has seen its growth projections surpassed. The unexpected but consistent growth can be mainly attributed to coronavirus which left more than 1 billion students worldwide unable to attend onsite classes.
The Education Ecosystem platform has already been used by more than 10 million people from more than 194 countries. The startup initially projected that the number of users on its platform would increase by 10 – 15% in the first quarter of this year. This is compared to a 10% growth it experienced in the same period last year.
However, Education Ecosystem observed a pronounced increase in platform users starting in late February and stabilizing in mid-March. The growth is due to a large number of people making use of the practical learning projects found on the peer-to-peer online learning platform. Overall, the number of new users increased by 30% and this number is expected to continue growing.
An increase in the number of users – either college students or young professionals – viewing projects on the platform has been observed. On the other hand, experienced tech professionals are coming to the ecosystem to create new practical projects.
The platform recently completed a server upgrade to make sure that everything runs smoothly when users stream project-based video content. Education Ecosystem expects this growth to continue steadily for the foreseeable future and will continue to make technical adjustments when necessary.
Education Ecosystem (LEDU) is a project-based learning platform that teaches professional developers and students how to build real products in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, data science, game development, and programming. Content is organized around projects where students learn from watching videos of developers building products. Education Ecosystem uses the utility token LEDU to power its ecosystem. LEDU provides rewards to project creators, viewers, community moderators, LEDU API developers, and ecosystem partners.
