Ripple has just announced it plans to make some big changes at the top of its organization, which is making major cryptocurrency industry news. As the coin continues on its quest for domination, changes are being made to move their vision along, promoting one ‘Rippler’ insider and one directly from the world’s largest social media platform, Facebook.
Ripple has just hired a banking expert as its new Senior VP. Kahina Van Dyke, who also worked as Facebook’s payment executive, has just joined Ripple as business and corporate development’s Senior Vice President.
The new hirings came in the middle of Ripple’s new campaign to persuade the financial industry that XRP is just what they need for an improvement of cross-border payments. This is exactly where Van Dyke will get the opportunity to shine since her responsibilities will include coming up with strategic partnerships and focusing on the solutions for international payments.
Van Dyke who is excited to join the team stated,
“Ripple’s approach is not just disruption for the sake of disruption. Ripple is built around establishing partnerships and applying technology to change an industry. I think that is a really powerful message.
It’s why over 100 financial institutions work with Ripple, and will continue to do so. It’s why Ripple has some of the world’s most notable partners, both traditional banks as well as newer fintech players.”
Van Dyke first started her career as the Membership Sales & Business Relationship Manager for the Business Council in New York, in a role that saw her leave college to take on the job. After attaining three years in that role, she moved to Time Inc. where she became the company’s Manager and Buyer. From then on, Van Dyke’s career really hit the big-time working for Citibank over the next nine years in a variety of positions in the UK, US and even in mainland Europe in the Czech Republic and Germany.
